I am extremely privileged to serve as the Fire Chief of this department. In 1958, the residents here recognized the need for a department, and from that came what is today Whitney Fire Department. Whitney Fire Department provides fire suppression, search and rescue, fire prevention, medical first response, physical training, and continuing education requirements throughout each year. Our area covers 11000 people within 9 square miles. We currently have 16 members, as well as support personnel.

Our mission is to provide a professional and caring means of servicing the citizens of the district; as well as the neighboring districts in the event of any emergency that may arise. We also provide public fire safety education to our citizens, so as to assure their continued safety, security, and understanding. It is our goal to accomplish these objectives through methodical planning, proper training, and first-rate equipment for all of our personnel and apparatuses.
